What a great time of discussion, networking and bringing new ideas to the forefront...true government of, by, and for the people. ACRP is gathering real grassroots momentum. It was the meeting where we put into practice election and voting procedures truly unique to our representative government. This is where we elected delegates and alternates nominated at the Precinct Caucus level who will advance to the Wyoming State Convention. Also, this is where we adopted revisions to platforms, resolutions and bylaws made at the Precinct Caucus that will also go forward to the State Convention. This is our REPRESENTATIVE government in action! It is amazing and sad at the same time how few people know about precinct caucuses and conventions. They are the grassroots of our political process granted to us by our CONSTITUTION! Lily Tang Williams was our Special Events Speaker on Friday, May 21, 2021.
Mrs. Williams was a Chinese lawyer and assistant professor who left Communist China to become an American businesswoman in the 1980's. Her eye-opening presentation told the story of her life in Communist China under Chairman Mao Zedong. Under the influence of Communist Party rhetoric and propaganda from a very young age, she brought to life the poor living conditions, social chaos and indoctrination of living in a government-controlled, authoritarian dictatorship.
Since her arrival here and so thankful to be in a free nation, she has immersed herself in the cause of freedom. Now a political activist and businesswoman in the United States, she continues educate all that will listen about how imperative it is that we, as Americans, take a more active role in preserving the liberty  that we have in this country.
